Behind every leadership transformation is someone committed to helping others grow.

Meet the Founder: Tamekia M. Scott, EdD
Founder & Principal Executive Mindset Coach
I didn’t start Edquity-Minded Consulting because I had all the answers. I started it because I learned firsthand what happens when successful leaders spend more energy proving themselves than trusting themselves.
For nearly two decades, I’ve served in leadership roles across higher education, guiding organizational change, developing leaders, and helping institutions navigate complex challenges. Along the way, I noticed a pattern: some of the most capable leaders I knew were carrying invisible burdens like overthinking every decision, questioning their expertise, and measuring their worth by how much they could accomplish.
I know that experience because I’ve lived it.
Building EMC became my way of creating the kind of space I wish I had earlier in my own leadership journey—a space where leaders can pause, reflect, challenge the stories they’ve inherited, and reconnect with the leader they’re becoming.
Today, I partner with individuals and organizations to help leaders lead with greater clarity, confidence, and intention. Whether I’m coaching an executive, facilitating a leadership workshop, or consulting with an organization, my goal is always the same: to help people see themselves so that they can lead differently to create meaningful, lasting change.
My Philosophy
I believe leadership is an inside-out practice.
The strategies, frameworks, and tools matter, but lasting leadership begins with mindset. When leaders shift how they think about themselves, their teams, and the systems they navigate, they unlock new possibilities for how they lead.
At EMC, we don’t focus on helping leaders become someone else. We help them become more fully themselves—leading with authenticity, courage, accountability, and purpose.

Meet the Strategist:
Macenzie Tucker, MBA
I believe meaningful growth begins with meaningful relationships.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to partner with leaders across workforce development, higher education, nonprofit organizations, and community initiatives to build strong partnerships, strengthen organizations, and create opportunities that have lasting impact. Those experiences have reinforced what I believe most about leadership: people matter, relationships matter, and sustainable growth is built one connection at a time.
When I discovered EMC, I immediately connected with its relationship-centered approach to leadership and organizational growth. It wasn’t simply the work that drew me in—it was the belief that authentic leadership creates opportunities for individuals, teams, and organizations to thrive.
Today, I help cultivate strategic partnerships, strengthen client relationships, and support leadership initiatives that expand EMC’s impact while ensuring every interaction reflects our mission, values, and commitment to people-first leadership.
My Philosophy
I believe leadership is rooted in service.
Whether supporting a client, strengthening a partnership, or creating opportunities for collaboration, I strive to lead with integrity, curiosity, and purpose. Lasting impact isn’t built through transactions—it’s built through trust.
I believe the strongest organizations are built on genuine relationships, thoughtful leadership, and a commitment to helping others grow. I’m excited to be part of EMC’s next chapter and look forward to connecting with many of you.
