The best version of you is the one that shows up — imperfect, powerful, and ready for change. You don’t need fixing. Sometimes, you just need help seeing it differently so you can lead differently.
Dr. Tamekia Scott
This is my story…
Executive Mindset Coach. Leadership Strategist. Speaker. Thought Partner.
Founder of Edquity-Minded Consulting™, Ignite Your Superpower™, Baseline and Boundaries: A Mindset Revolution Podcast, and The Mindset Reset™.
Before I was coaching powerhouse leaders and facilitating transformative leadership trainings, I was a C-suite leader in higher education—burned out and barely holding it together.
Like, daily migraines for weeks, kind of burnout.
I was checking every box—degrees, titles, impact—but quietly asking myself: “Is this really what success is supposed to feel like?”
For over a decade, I advanced access and leadership from the inside. I led DEI strategy, taught courses, mentored students, and created spaces where others could thrive.
But behind the scenes? I was overthinking, overperforming, and overwhelmed.
That pain pushed me into purpose.
I paused. Reflected. And redefined what success meant—on my terms.
That journey led me to start Edquity-Minded Consulting™, where I help organizations create impact without sacrificing well-being. Then I launched my executive mindset coaching practice to support leaders—especially women—who are ready to stop shrinking and start leading like they know they belong.
I created the spaces I needed but couldn’t find—spaces where you can tell the truth, take up space, and transform your mindset so you can lead differently.
Through coaching, teaching, and strategy work, I help leaders:
- Conquer self-doubt and reclaim confidence
- Lead without burnout
- Make bold career moves with clarity and alignment
I do this work as a wife, mother, trained therapist, and educator who has learned—through experience— Success without self is not success at all.
So if you’re in a season where you’re ready to stop performing and start becoming, let’s rewrite the definition of success—starting with how you see yourself.
Shift your mindset. Live fully.
Find the resources that are right for you.

Practice Philosophy
Edquity-Minded Consulting’s services are grounded in Positive Psychology and Appreciative Inquiry, which focus on personal or organizational change from a strength-based lens in tandem with the principles of equity-mindedness. Read More…
Equity-Mindedness calls to action, executive leaders to evaluate and respond to organizational practices that may not be yielding the desired results due to inequities typically found in systemic structures, policies, and practices over which they typically can control.
Additionally, Black Feminist Thought, Critical Consciousness, the CTFAR coaching model, Intersectionality, and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) are coupled with Dr. Scott’s unique lived experience and serve as theoretical underpinnings for her delivery methods. This combination of these unique theoretical approaches allows EMC to offer individualized, “do-it-with-you” best practice solutions to meet our clients’ needs with psychological safety, equity, and inclusion at the forefront.
